Staying busy...

Oh boy...Someone please tell me how to pick between what it is that I want for decorations. I have done nothing but play around with different ideas but cannot figure out which one I like the best. Last night I stayed up til almost 4 am making things to see if I liked them or not, low and behold I love them all. And if anyone else has any ideas they want to through out have at it. I love new ideas. So for those of you that will be at the wedding it's probably going to be a cluster of different ideas I've found. Tammy, Jr's cousin made a few things and brought me a few other things and I love all of them as well. What to do? what to do? Sooner or later I know I'm going to have a mental break but for now I think Jr is just going to kill me with all my crafts. Last night when I was working I went outside at around 1 am and cut a million branches off of one of our trees, so he came home to nature inside with the smell of glue lingering everywhere, haha. He knew my family was crafty but I think I might be going over board. So will someone please STOP ME...

Asking for help...

Ok everyone so I have found a new addiction thanks to Abby Riley-Kavolick. If any of you have heard of pinterest.com I absolutely love it and can't get enough. I have found so many new ideas and I had already had some dealing with mason jars but now I have so many more so now for my question, Does anyone have mason jars? With all the ideas I have now I'm going to need a bunch so if anyone can help out I would be greatly appreciated. For those of you that don't know my number just facebook me. And I hope everyone goes to my pinterest page and look at all my ideas I have also posted different things that we have already done like my bouquets. They are beautiful I'll post a picture on here so you can see one, although all the flowers are going to be different colors you'll get the idea.

Flowers...Yay

I've really been wanting hydrangeas for the wedding because not only are the gorgeous but they also dry and look exactly the same as they do on the trees. So for the past three weeks I have been knocking on these peoples door in Shinnston to see if I could cut theirs. Knowing they would probably think I was crazy. Well fortunately for me they were out of town for over two weeks at their daughters wedding, so I caught them just at the right time. When I noticed they were home I ran over hoping and praying they would say yes. Low and behold she didn't even hesitate, she told me I could take them all... I was so happy I went back the first pretty day with my tough box in hand not knowing what I was about to get myself into. To say the least I had to send my friend Bri to the gas station to buy garbage bags because I never thought there would be quite so many, and when I say so many I mean I didn't know there was going to be a TON!!! After 2 1/2 hours a huge tough box and 10-11 garbage bags later I finally have my flowers...

And this is only half the other half is at my parents house...

I found it...

After 6 long hours and 2 appointments in the same day at the same place I finally found my dress. I'm sooo excited. And the best part I got to spend the whole day with my mom and my sister. I didn't realize that doing this with them would be so much different and so much more important to me then going with my friends. I'm sure it would have been nice with them to but just not mean as much. But back to the dress, it is gorgeous and just what I wanted very simple and light weight since the wedding is outside I don't want to be real hot all day. I also found my shoes...To say the least they are bad ass haha. All I kept saying all day "well if anything at least the shoes will make anything look good." But the dress with the shoes is just perfect.

The shopping starts...

I had a few things to do yesterday and I decided while I was out running my sister and I could stop and try on some dresses...just for fun! I never thought I would actually find anything, but I think I might have found my dress. My mom and I are going to go back Thursday so she can help me choose. I found three to be honest with you, two are very similar and one is nothing like I would have ever picked out. The woman at the store pulled it off the rack and said "What about this one?" I just said sure I'll try anything, knowing it wasn't was I was looking for. Then I put it on and I didn't know if I was going to be able to take it off. I know they say that you will know the dress when you see it but what if you don't actually like it on the hanger but love it when you put it on. Is that what I'm suppose to do is just try everything on then pick??? Thank god I'm not that picky and when I find something I know it.

It's final...

I mailed in my deposit today so it's final, no going back now. And all of the ideas for decorating and dresses and everything are just going and going and going through my head. No one ever said how much stuff there is out there for weddings. Thank god we are going the DIY route. I now understand how so many people can go into debt over these things. I'm just glad I'm one of the happy brides not one of the crazy ones!!!

We got it!!!

Well today was a great day...I went to my appointment with the owner of the venue and I got my wedding date. I'm sooo excited I can't stand it. I will officially be getting married on June 30, 2012. There was already someone wrote down for that day but apparently backed out, their loss is my gain. I have the venue for both days the 29 and 30 and they even give me a place to stay. It is sooo cute and I wont have to worry about having a place to get ready then driving into a outside wedding where everyone will be able to see me, I will just walk right out of my room into my dads arms onto the isle. Here's a glimpse of my venue...

Fingers crossed!!!

Well as of last night I think I might have my venue for the wedding it's not really the date I wanted, but it is a very hard place to get, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I got it. As of right now it will be on June 30 and I even got it the 29 so I can spend the night there the day before. "I'm sooo excited." And got love JR when i called him to make sure the date was alright all he had to say is "Whatever you want is fine."
For those of you that have never been to Hestons Farm it is beautiful, it's a nice laid back place right on the river with many different things, they also have a new winery and distillery they just put in. Check out their site http://hestonfarm.com/   Just please everyone KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED!!!

The Begining!!!

My name is Amanda and I'm 29 years old and just recently got engaged to my boyfriend J.R., and this is our story. A few years back at a Halloween party one of my close friends (Chad) called and said he was coming down with a few friends. When he showed up he had a friend (J.R.) that just returned from Iraq, we didn't really hit it off at first. Both of us had recently gotten out of relationships so we weren't looking. A few nights later Chad, J.R., and a couple others stopped by the local bar I was working at and J.R. had ask me to play pool. We ended up talking all night. When it was time to leave Chad told me to call when I got off, but he would be at J.R.'s house and he had no service so I would have to call J.R.. I found out that was just a way for J.R. to get my number. We had talked off and on for a while, and then it became every night, we became very close very quick. We fell in love...
